Wow this is so helpful. As someone who also is dealing with long covid, I keep hearing about nervous system regulation or the benefits of stimulating the vagus nerve but very few articles tell you HOW to actually do these things. I have also recently been working with a naturopathic doctor because I’ve seen the most improvement of my symptoms through holistic remedies, which I’ve documented on my Substack as well. I can’t wait to try these out.

Would Qi Gong also be considered beneficial?

Yes, and there are some aspects of Qi Gong breathing exercises, mindfulness, and movements I employ in my daily practices also. A naturopath at the pain clinic offered online Qi Gong sessions during the pandemic lockdown phases so I attended many. Tai Chi, martial arts, weightlifting, and many other mind/body regimens fall within these healing modalities. Whatever works best for you in your own needs is appropriate. There are many paths to the same destinations. I find the Qi Gong arm movements of lowering BP to be particularly effective in addressing the hyperadrenergic POTS. As always, this is not medical advice. Consult your own practitioners to best address your own personal needs. Cheers to your good health. -- Bethany McCraw
